Parent/Child: Water Babies introduces your infant/toddler to the water while teaching you techniques to safely orient them to this new environment. We will focus on kicks, floats, and submersion. You can expect a lot of songs and splashing while your child explores the water. Requirements: Child must be at least 6 months old to enroll Parent or caregiver must accompany each child in the water and participate in each class Children should wear swim diapers Learning objectives: Water entrance/exit by lifting in Front and back flutter kick with parent Holding techniques Bubbles Front and back float Treading water arms with parent Underwater exploration Signs of a distressed / drowning infant Life jacket safety Rolling from front to back in a life jacket Monkey crawl on the wall with parent Front crawl arms (ice cream scoops) Safety Skills for Parents Fall classes will open for registration on August 15th at 8:00 am.
