Back by popular demand! Tess' magical cheesecake and brownie-stuffed chocolate chip cookies have been added to her ever-popular holiday cookie bake-and-decorate class! Learn the basics of decorating cookies with royal icing to add to your holiday cookie-baking and decorating tradition.
The week of class, you'll receive an email with the instructor's personal sugar cookie recipes to bake ahead of time so class time can focus on decorating. You'll also get a list of ingredients and supplies needed for the Royal Icing and for the stuffed cookies that will be made during class, as well as prep information and the Zoom video conferencing link. No fancy decorating tips or bags will be needed; the instructor will show decorating techniques using simple plastic sandwich bags.
The registration fee covers immediate family members living in the same household only. If children are participating, adult supervision is required.
A few days after the class, you will receive an additional email with the recipes used during the class.
Tess Georgakopoulos has been cooking since she was roughly six years old -- well over forty years. Born into a Greek family, the art of cooking traditional meals using one's senses rather than recipes and measurements was passed on from one generation to the next. Her father was a trained chef who brought the magic of food to life in another form as they cooked elaborate family meals together. Food prepared from the heart, with one's own hands and creativity, was, and continues to be, an expression of love in her home. As a skilled home-cook and baker, Tess enjoys creating original recipes for her family and friends. She has recently started writing her first cookbook, and has a food blog in the works.
