  • Baklava

    Baklava is a traditional pastry dessert known for its sweet, rich flavor and flaky texture. Join us in this hands-on interactive class where you will cook virtually with Instructor Mimi. You will learn how to prepare a flavorful but easy Baklava dessert, and bake it in your own oven following the instructor's guidance. A few days before class, you will receive an email with the video conference link and a list of ingredients (to allow for shopping).
  • California Sushi Roll Extravaganza

    Join Chef Tess as she leads you through making a variety of the most delicious California rolls that will have you wondering why you haven't tried making them before. California sushi roll combinations are limited only by your imagination. Vegetarian, with or without seaweed, spicy or not -- it is totally up to you! Learn the skill of creating seasoned sushi rice and spicy mayo, and how to stuff, wrap and shape the rolls. Make it a date or family night as you create lasting memories in your kitchen! A few days before the class, you will receive an email with the ingredient list, prep packet, and the video conference link. After class, you will receive an additional email with the recipes used during the class. One registration covers participants from the same household only. If children are participating, adult supervision is required.

    In this fun-filled hands-on class, our instructor Mimi will guide you step-by-step through creating this classic dish, known for its diverse flavor profile of sweet, salty, sour, and spicy. Perfect for entertaining, you will wow your friends and family at your next dinner party with your new-found signature dish! A few days before class, you will receive an email with the video conference link and ingredient list.
  • From Dough to Delights: Flatbread Pizza & Pizza Panini from Scratch!

    Apart from cheese and toppings, homemade dough and sauce are the key ingredients used to create mouthwatering pizza! Known as the Pizza Master "Pizzaiolo" in her family and community, instructor Tess will help you learn the key ingredients used to make homemade dough and pizza sauce. If you are part of a pizza-loving family, this class is for you! During class, you will make the instructor's personal recipes for two different homemade doughs -- flatbread pizza dough and panini roll dough. You can personalize your flatbread and panini pizza with toppings and fillings of your choosing. The registration fee covers immediate family members living in the same household only. If children are participating, adult supervision is required. The week of class, you will receive an email with the ingredient and supply list, prep packet, and Zoom video conferencing link. A few days after the class, you will receive an additional email with the recipes used during the class.

    Create restaurant-quality egg rolls and samosas right in your own kitchen! These appetizers are jammed with flavors from around the world and can be a quick way to incorporate leftovers into something new and fun to eat. Make a variety of egg rolls, samosas, and dipping sauces in this virtual class as you cook along from the comfort of your own kitchen. A few days before the class, you will receive an email with an ingredient list and a video conference link.
  • Homemade Pasta with Alfredo and Tomato Sauce

    Experience the time-honored art of creating pasta from scratch in this hands-on virtual cooking class. Mimi will teach you how to throw together the perfect pasta dough as well as how to roll and slice it into noodles. You'll also learn how to make a delicious garlic tomato sauce to smother your freshly-made noodles, creating a rich and satisfying homemade dish. Pair it with a fresh seasonal garden salad to balance out the meal. You will receive an email with the ingredient packet and video conference link a few days before the class.
  • Spring Roll Symphony! Crafting Crispy & Fresh Spring Roll Delights

    No need to look beyond your own kitchen for restaurant-quality spring rolls! Whether you are looking to host a memorable Dim Sum get-together or simply want to create something fresh and bright to welcome in the spring, this is the taste you have been looking for! Chef Tess will help you create two types of spring rolls bursting with a symphony of flavors bold and bright enough to wake up any and all taste buds. Your choice of meat (chicken or pork) and veggies will fill the crispy spring rolls, and fresh veggies and your precooked protein will fill the fresh spring rolls. Customize the filling ingredients and seasonings to your taste or dietary preferences. Dive into the world of spring rolls and learn the techniques used to create fillings, as well as how to wrap, roll, and cook these delightful packets of bright deliciousness! You'll also get tips on freezing and reheating. The registration fee covers immediate family members living in the same household only. If children are participating, adult supervision is required.   • Tantalizing Thai Cuisine

    Thai cuisine is a feast for the senses! It is flavorful, aromatic, and beautiful, with care given to the food's appearance and smell as well as texture and taste. This culinary experience begins with preparing Vietnamese summer rolls (fresh) served with both hoisin and peanut sauce for dipping. We'll move on to Vietnamese spring rolls with pork, turkey, and glass noodles stuffed in rice paper and fried crisp and golden. You'll then prepare Pad Thai, blending the vibrant flavors of Thailand with rice noodles, chicken breast, eggs, chilies, garlic, basil, scallions, bean sprouts, and more. Our final dish is Thai lime custard topped with fresh whipped cream. This class includes both demonstration and hands-on instruction. Many food items will be prepared in advance by the chef. This class is offered in collaboration with Osseo Community Education. Please note that it will be held at their facility, Osseo Middle School.
  • The Art of Sushi

    Explore the world of sushi as you create this Japanese delicacy yourself. We'll start by preparing sushi rice, then move to the art of "nigiri-sushi"(hand-molded rice) topped with shrimp, unagi, tamago, ahi tuna, and more. Learn how to prepare "maki-sushi" using a bamboo mat to roll rice with various fillings in and around nori (seaweed sheets). Options and accompaniments include surimi, cucumber, avocado, cream cheese, teriyaki chicken, tempura onions, spicy mayo, eel sauce, wasabi, pickled ginger, and soy sauce. This class is in partnership with Osseo Community Education and is held at Osseo Middle School, 10223 93rd Avenue N, Maple Grove.
