  • Tantalizing Thai Cuisine

    Thai cuisine is a feast for the senses! It is flavorful, aromatic, and beautiful, with care given to the food's appearance and smell as well as texture and taste. This culinary experience begins with preparing Vietnamese summer rolls (fresh) served with both hoisin and peanut sauce for dipping. We'll move on to Vietnamese spring rolls with pork, turkey, and glass noodles stuffed in rice paper and fried crisp and golden. You'll then prepare Pad Thai, blending the vibrant flavors of Thailand with rice noodles, chicken breast, eggs, chilies, garlic, basil, scallions, bean sprouts, and more. Our final dish is Thai lime custard topped with fresh whipped cream. This class includes both demonstration and hands-on instruction. Many food items will be prepared in advance by the chef. This class is offered in collaboration with Osseo Community Education. Please note that it will be held at Osseo Middle School.

    Explore the world of sushi as you create this Japanese delicacy yourself. We'll start by preparing sushi rice, then move to the art of "nigiri-sushi"(hand-molded rice) topped with shrimp, unagi, tamago, ahi tuna, and more. Learn how to prepare "maki-sushi" using a bamboo mat to roll rice with various fillings in and around nori (seaweed sheets). Options and accompaniments include surimi, cucumber, avocado, cream cheese, teriyaki chicken, tempura onions, spicy mayo, eel sauce, wasabi, pickled ginger, and soy sauce. This class is in partnership with Osseo Community Education and is held at Osseo Middle School, 10223 93rd Avenue N, Maple Grove.

  • Winter Wonderland Monster Cookies & Stuffed NYC Cookies Workshop!

    Step into a sweet winter wonderland in this joyful holiday cookie workshop cook-along experience led by instructor, Tess. Learn to create FOUR amazing gourmet cookies from scratch using two types of dough, using Tess’ original recipes. The only requirement is being able to keep the recipes secret! First up, MONSTER COOKIE DOUGH will be used to craft two DIFFERENT types of Monster Cookies, one of which actually looks like the beloved Cookie Monster. The other dough is more classic, albeit moist, delicious, and decadent. They are MASSIVE, colorful, chewy, and loaded with festive mix-ins that are just as fun to make as they are to eat. Next, an out of this world dough will be created using a recipe Tess has never shared before that uses very unconventional mixing techniques. The dough will be used to create the ultimate bakery NYC-Style stuffed cookies filled with dreamy, indulgent centers like cheesecake, and fudgy brownie. Cookies will then be created using unconventional shaping and baking techniques! Tess will also demonstrate how to stuff cookies with the Viral Dubai Chocolate, and how to create her version of a most delicious Apple Crumble Stuffed NYC-style cookie. The menu includes Chef Tess' copycat version of the Olive Garden Zuppa Toscana, her version of Italian Wedding Meatball Soup, and homemade baguettes. Choose one soup for your cook-along and watch a demonstration of the other, or choose to make both! Both soups go perfectly with the amazing made-from-scratch baguettes. Tess will make one soup in the Instant Pot, and the other on the stovetop using a soup pot, providing step-by-step instructions for both cooking options.
