Warm, delicious, soothing, and satisfying soups are such a welcome treat for dinner any time of year. All the stresses of the day seem to melt away with the smell of freshly made soup that brings smiles to the entire family. Expand your family’s soup rotation and your culinary repertoire as you learn to create two wonderful soups, along with homemade Italian Bread Bowls! Choose one soup for your cook-along and watch a demonstration of the other, or choose to make both!

No Instant Pot®? No problem! The instructor will make one soup in the Instant Pot®, and the other on the stovetop using a soup pot. Chef Tess will provide step-by-step instructions for both cooking options for each soup so you can cook along using whatever appliance, cooking tools, and equipment you choose. Experience how flavors are enhanced and infused with the Instant Pot® or enjoy the simple soothing pleasures of making soups the classic way.

On the Menu: Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup, Beer Cheese Soup, and wonderful Homemade Italian Bread Bowls (baked in the oven). These original, delicious, no-fail recipes created by the instructor will become family favorites!

Several days before class, you will receive an email with an ingredient and supply list, prep packet, and Zoom video conferencing link. A few days after the class, you will receive an additional email with the recipes used during the class.

The registration fee covers immediate family members living in the same household only. If children are participating, adult supervision is required.

Tess Georgakopoulos

Tess Georgakopoulos has been cooking since she was roughly six years old -- well over forty years. Born into a Greek family, the art of cooking traditional meals using one's senses rather than recipes and measurements was passed on from one generation to the next. Her father was a trained chef who brought the magic of food to life in another form as they cooked elaborate family meals together. Food prepared from the heart, with one's own hands and creativity, was, and continues to be, an expression of love in her home. As a skilled home-cook and baker, Tess enjoys creating original recipes for her family and friends. She has recently started writing her first cookbook, and has a food blog in the works.
