Create a delicious meal of traditional Italian favorites! We'll start with classic panzanella, a toasted bread salad with refreshing summer vegetables in a light vinaigrette. You’ll prepare the celebrated chicken saltimbocca using thin-sliced prosciutto ham and fresh sage topped with a lemon caper butter sauce and pan-fried artichokes. Learn the art of making potato gnocchi -- shaped potato dumplings -- tossed with a medley of delectable sauces, including fresh basil pesto, marinara, and brown butter with sage. Finish with cannoli, a fried pastry filled with sweetened ricotta and mascarpone cheeses served on a pool of warm chocolate sauce and garnished with chopped pistachios. This class is offered in collaboration with Osseo Community Education. Please note that it will be held at Osseo Middle School.

Jeff Sandino

Founder of "Flavors from the Home," Jeff's love of food began at the Lincoln Deli. He received formal training at L'Hotel Sofitel in Bloomington, MN and Houston, TX. His professional career spans over 40 years, and has taken him to such spots as Buca Di Beppo, Figlio, Sunsets on the Bay, My Pie Pizza, and the Sunshine Factory. Jeff has appeared on several cooking shows demonstrating his culinary wizardry; his passion is teaching and demystifying the process of gourmet cooking.
