Games are increasingly recognized as a tool that can serve many business purposes beyond entertainment. This certificate program provides a general introduction to design and development of both video and analog games, with a particular focus on the use of games outside of consumer entertainment. 

Registering for this certificate program will automatically enroll you in the two required courses: Introduction to Game Design and Intermediate Video Game Design.

Jean Haefner


Jean Haefner hold degrees in graphic design and photography, and has an MFA in Web Design and Interactive Media. She has taught in these areas, and worked as a content artist, web designer, and online course developer for over 20 years. She helped to develop the award-winning interdisciplinary Game Design and Development program at UW-Stout, and provided instruction in art and design for games there. She currently works at UW-Madison.
