As part of the school district, the program has access to the district’s resources. Conveniently offered in Elk River, Otsego, Rogers and Zimmerman with a variety of daytime options, Discovery Learning Preschool is sure to fit your child’s needs.Classes begin mid-September and end early June.A $49 non-refundable deposit is included in the total fee; deposit must be paid at registration.In the 3s classes, there is a parent/child day once each week; parents are required to attend these days.Parent time provides time for parents to talk and learn with other parents and the Parent Educator.Optional busing is available if your home or day care address is within the ISD 728 boundaries.Students must be age 3 as of September 1, 2024.Registration is a 2-step process; before registering, please read all of the following important information. If you already have an Eleyo Childcare Account for EdVenture Club, you should use that same account making sure you add your preschooler as a student.This Tuition Account makes it easy for you to pay your monthly tuition payment online. Total tuition (with or without transportation) is divided into 9 monthly payments throughout the school year, starting in September. You have the option to enroll in auto-pay or to log into your account each month to enter your payment. We no longer accept in-person payments; all payments must be made through your Tuition Account in Eleyo. Upon approval by the ECFE office, your account will show the total tuition due for the school year (transportation fees will be added later.) Transportation is provided by Vision Transportation, the vendor for all district transportation. A transportation registration link will be emailed to you during the spring prior to the start of the school year. This is NOT the same link for K-12 transportation registration - only use the link provided by the ECFE office! Transportation fees will be added to your Tuition Account once routing information is received from Vision Transportation.Transportation for Discovery Learning Preschool students requires hand-to-hand transfers of students. A Vision Transportation vehicle (bus or van) will stop at the end of the driveway at the designated pick-up time and location. You or another adult must escort your student to the vehicle. Discovery Learning Preschool staff will meet busses at school and bring students into the building. After class, your child will be escorted to the bus by the classroom staff. You or another adult is responsible for meeting the bus at designated drop-off time and location. Specific pick-up and drop-off times and locations will be available at the Discovery Learning Preschool Open House in September. Note: Reduced and sliding fee scale also applies to transportation costs. Transportation to and from EdVenture Club Childcare is not available. The transportation link for the 2024-25 school year will be available later in the spring. EdVenture Club ChildcareCommunity Education offers childcare services to extend your child's experience with their Discovery Learning Preschool classes at each of our locations. Childcare is available before and/or after preschool classes. To participate in EdVenture Club-Discovery Learning Childcare for the 2024-2025 school year, child must be age 3 by September 1st, 2024. When registering, you pick the hours that best meet your schedule. The program is available Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 5:30pm on school days, non-class days and most district non-school days. To register for the EdVenture Club-Discovery Learning Childcare program, you will use the same Tuition Account you set up in Step 2 of the preschool registration process.CLICK HERE FOR ADDITIONAL EDVENTURE CLUB INFORMATION Early Childhood ScreeningEarly Childhood Screening is an opportunity for children and their parents to participate in a free health and developmental screening after the child's 3rd birthday. State law requires screening for all children entering public preschool or kindergarten.
