FIRST Tech Challenge | grades 7-12

Youth | preK-grade 12 / Academics | Technology -
2024-2025 CE School Year

This is way more than building robots! Besides using and developing STEM skills, you'll practice engineering principles (such as keeping an engineering notebook), share ideas, and learn to think creatively. FIRST Tech Challenge teams will design build, program, and operate robots with a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. Participants call it "the hardest fun you will ever have!"

Guided by adult coaches and mentors, your team will also design and market a team brand and do community outreach. Teams will compete in one scrimmage, three league meets, and one league qualifier, with the possibility of advancing to the State competition.

Tournament Dates:

  • Fall session: January 19, 2025
  • Winter session: March 22, 2025

We are looking for 3 parent coaches. As a coach, you will be responsible for guiding 4-6 students. Hub resources and mentors are available to provide guidance to new teams.
