Pokémon-Inspired Game Coding | grades 1-4

Youth | preK-grade 12 / Academics | Technology -
2025 CE Summer

Discover programming concepts using Scratch and create an interactive 2D video game using your favorite Pokémon-inspired characters. Your instructor will take you step-by-step through tutorials to create 2-4 working games and animations using popular themed sprites. You can even go a bit further and modify or improve the games you created in class. Bring a USB drive to save your games on the last day.

Please bring a nut-free snack, a water bottle, and recess attire.

Please note: This class has an early registration deadline of June 25.

*** Registering for a morning and an afternoon class at the same location? Join the "Lunch Bunch!" Community Education will provide a supervised hour between classes for you to enjoy the lunch you brought from home, then will get you to your afternoon class. Lunches should be nut-free and should include a beverage. No resources are available for refrigeration or to heat lunches, so plan accordingly.

Parents/Guardians: Please answer "Yes" to the Lunch Bunch question when registering for the morning class. There is no charge, but we need to know who is staying with us for the hour. ***
