Adult / Health | Wellness -
2025 CE Summer

Explore what substance addiction is (and isn’t), how it develops, and its devastating ripple effects. Learn what resources are available in the community to assist caregivers and those struggling with addiction and come away with hope in the recovery process. During this three-part series, you will learn about addiction and how you can support others in their recovery journey and help set healthy boundaries.

Week One: Unpacking Addiction: Explore what substance addiction is (and isn’t), how it develops, and its devastating ripple effects. Learn what resources are available in the community to assist caregivers and those struggling with addiction; come away with hope in the recovery process.

Week Two: Supporting Others in Recovery: When someone you care about is struggling with substance addiction, it can leave you feeling like you are walking blindfolded in a minefield! Learn the do’s and don’ts of supporting someone in addiction or early recovery. Learn how to get your point across in a way that is heard and appreciated.

Week Three: Setting Healthy Boundaries: Healthy relationships of all types require setting appropriate boundaries! Setting boundaries between parent and child, spouses, co-workers, neighbors, and more can be easy if you understand how and when to create them. Learn and practice creating some healthy boundaries and how to stand behind the boundaries you set.
