Introduction to Coding

2025-2026 CE School Year

New technologies allow people outside of the computer science field to be able to create their own web pages using code. This course will introduce you to the basics of computer programing and various programing languages.  Students will learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and Javascript, as well as the practical uses for each.

This course is included in the Coding Certificate course.

Jeff Kritzer


Jeff Kritzer has many years of experience in online instructional technology, as a quantitative researcher, and a Special Education Resource Teacher and has assessed thousands of students during his long career.
He has studied applied statistics at the graduate level and has attended the Summer Program in Quantitative Research at the University of Michigan. He recently completed the “Advanced Online Instructor” certificate with the Online Learning Consortium.
He has been published in several international and national journals and has developed unique methods for presenting his research.
He has a Ph.D. in Education and is currently a Professor in Teacher Education at a leading Midwestern University.
