Screening is an early look at a child's development and begins as early as age three. The state of Minnesota requires screening for every child before kindergarten entry into a public school. ISD 728 offers this service at no cost.

In the first week, you’ll learn—or refresh—essential website setup steps and required elements for a successful site. You’ll then discover how to build a simple WordPress website or blog, covering topics such as CMS fundamentals, WordPress installation and setup, page and content creation, site administration, themes (selection, purchase, installation, and setup), widgets, plugins, and more.
As the course progresses, you’ll gain advanced knowledge of WordPress features and customization, including hand-coding pages with HTML, CSS, and PHP, implementing simple yet effective SEO techniques to improve search rankings, and performing essential site maintenance and backups.
Upon completing the WordPress Certificate, you’ll have the skills to build and customize a WordPress website or blog, maintain it effectively, and optimize it for search engines—empowering you to create professional, fully functional websites.
Andy Helmi is a multidisciplinary graphic and web designer, technical consultant, and online marketing specialist based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. His diverse educational background spans over a decade of academic training in electronic and computer engineering, graphic and web design, music, typography, and digital photography. Andy began his career in digital media in 1996. Since then, he has worked with several companies and has continuously operated his own freelance design business. A passionate educator, Andy is an Adobe Certified Instructor and holds a BC Instructional Skills certification. He has designed and delivered courses and programs for a range of institutions, including the Vancouver School Board, Vancouver Community College, Langara College, Vancouver College of Art and Design, and Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
