Kickoff Kitchen! Home-Baked Soft Subs & Hawaiian Roll Sliders!

Adult / Culinary -
2025-2026 CE School Year

Bring big flavor and fun to game night, or any night, while celebrating the art of scratch baking with soft, bakery style submarine rolls and pillowy Hawaiian rolls that outshine anything found in stores. Once the doughs are perfected, shaped and baked, the sub rolls will be transformed into irresistible submarine sandwiches layered with bold spreads, zesty vinaigrette, and fresh fixings. The Hawaiian rolls will be turned into golden sliders, filled with savory, melty goodness and brushed with a buttery garlic glaze. You’ll even learn how to adjust the sweetness of your Hawaiian rolls to match your personal taste. This will be an engaging, interactive cook-along experience that blends hands-on techniques with unforgettable flavor—ideal for game-day spreads or year round crowd-pleasing family favorites.

Equipment Needs: A stand-mixer and dough hook attachment is highly recommended. If a stand mixer is not available, dough can be made by hand.

Several days before class, you will receive an email with an ingredient and supply list, prep packet, and Zoom video conferencing link. A few days after the class, you will receive an additional email with the recipes used during the class.

The registration fee covers immediate family members living in the same household only. If children are participating, adult supervision is required.

Tess Georgakopoulos

Tess Georgakopoulos has been cooking since she was roughly six years old -- well over forty years. Born into a Greek family, the art of cooking traditional meals using one's senses rather than recipes and measurements was passed on from one generation to the next. Her father was a trained chef who brought the magic of food to life in another form as they cooked elaborate family meals together. Food prepared from the heart, with one's own hands and creativity, was, and continues to be, an expression of love in her home. As a skilled home-cook and baker, Tess enjoys creating original recipes for her family and friends. She has recently started writing her first cookbook, and has a food blog in the works.
