In this Intermediate Introductory Video Game Design course, you will:

  • Explore the fundamentals of the video game design process
  • Learn about the main video game genres
  • Use a game development application to start creating your own games

This course is perfect for aspiring game designers looking to turn their ideas into playable experiences.

This course is included in the Certificate in Basic Game Design course.

Jean Haefner

Jean Haefner hold degrees in graphic design and photography, and has an MFA in Web Design and Interactive Media. She has taught in these areas, and worked as a content artist, web designer, and online course developer for over 20 years. She helped to develop the award-winning interdisciplinary Game Design and Development program at UW-Stout, and provided instruction in art and design for games there. She currently works at UW-Madison.
