Welcome to Early Childhood family education (ECFE) - Where Families Learn and Grow Together!
Screening is an early look at a child's development and begins as early as age three. The state of Minnesota requires screening for every child before kindergarten entry into a public school. ISD 728 offers this service at no cost.
Community Education's EdVenture Club offers a variety of childcare options at schools within Independent School District 728.
Our HOPE program provides events, activities and classes designed specifically for adults with developmental disabilities.

Use the space at one of our school buildings for an ultimate party experience! A convenient and easy way to celebrate! We provide the facility and general supplies, and if requested, activities and equipment.
Edv Club Summer provides Swimming Lessons for families at no additional cost!
NEW! Mixed-Age Preschool Class (Ages 3 & 4) at Handke, meeting Monday–Thursday mornings. Designed for older 3s and younger 4s (birthdays between June 1–December 31, 2026), this class brings children together in an ISD 728 Discovery Learning Preschool classroom led by highly trained School Readiness teachers. A great option for families looking for a supportive, mixed-age experience tailored to meet children at all stages of development.
