Dim Sum is a Chinese or Cantonese meal consisting of numerous small appetizers or finger foods traditionally enjoyed in restaurants. The shared dining and social experience can last for hours! Dim Sum often includes luscious and billowy soft Stuffed Steamed Buns. Join Tess as she guides you through the step-by-step process of creating two types of Dim Sum Stuffed Steamed Buns using homemade dough that will take you to culinary heights you never knew you could reach. You will make two fillings for the buns -- a gooey Chinese BBQ chicken filling and a savory vegetarian filling. A bamboo steamer is helpful, but not required.

The registration fee covers immediate family members living in the same household only. If children are participating, adult supervision is required.

The week of class, you will receive an email with an ingredient and supply list, prep packet, and Zoom video conferencing link. A few days after the class, you will receive an additional email with the recipes used during the class.

Tess Georgakopoulos

Tess Georgakopoulos has been cooking since she was roughly six years old -- well over forty years. Born into a Greek family, the art of cooking traditional meals using one's senses rather than recipes and measurements was passed on from one generation to the next. Her father was a trained chef who brought the magic of food to life in another form as they cooked elaborate family meals together. Food prepared from the heart, with one's own hands and creativity, was, and continues to be, an expression of love in her home. As a skilled home-cook and baker, Tess enjoys creating original recipes for her family and friends. She has recently started writing her first cookbook, and has a food blog in the works.
