Design a custom Minecraft tool during class, which will then be printed and mailed to your home.     What’s it like to play Dungeons and Dragons? This timeless game features fantastical elements such as magic, mythical creatures, and fairies. You'll have great opportunities to develop problem-solving skills, team-building abilities, and creative thinking that cannot be replicated elsewhere. Start by learning the basics, creating your character, and embarking on an amazing roleplaying adventure.   • GRASP | grades 4-8

    The 8-week GRASP program helps keep your student's reading/math skills sharp during the summer months. Weekly lessons take about an hour, and students work at their own pace. Students may choose to work from booklets and answer sheets or use the online program in which lessons are viewed and completed online. Workbooks, answer sheets, and envelopes will be mailed to students or distributed at their school at the end of the current school year (for students choosing this option). Please order the grade that corresponds to your student's 2024-2025 (current) grade. You may order a higher or lower grade level if appropriate or recommended by your student's teacher. Returns or exchanges may be limited. Deadline for registration is the end of the day on Thursday, April 24.

    Don’t just PLAY games -- CREATE them! Discover how to create and modify arcade-style games using Scratch, a programming language developed by MIT. You'll need some basic computer skills, including basic keyboarding and using a mouse. Additional Technical Requirements: Scratch and Scratch account; instructions will be emailed. Add challenges and difficulty levels, then share your game by email or post it on the web to challenge family and friends.     This session will help college-bound students and their families understand the modern college admissions landscape. With careful planning and understanding of key timelines and tasks through Junior year, students and their families will be prepared for optimal success (and minimal stress) when applying to colleges. Participants will come away with a Junior-Year College Planning Timeline and tools to manage their initial research and planning.
