    DASH Sports Summer Jr. NBA Mini League brings the excitement of game day all week long! Players will kick things off with one day of skill training, then jump into three action-packed days of instructor-led games—2 games per day for a total of 6 games. Players will practice and learn basketballs skills while gaining valuable game experience in this mini league. Athletes should bring a water bottle and a snack. Basketballs are provided.     DASH Sports MLS GO Summer Soccer Mini-Leagues give players a fun, well-rounded soccer experience that builds key skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense through training, scrimmages, and game play. This camp includes one day of skills training, followed by three days of games—two games per day, for a total of six games. Athletes should wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle and snack. Cleats and shin guards are optional. Soccer balls are provided. Each participant may also purchase an optional MLS GO uniform (jersey, shorts, and socks). To purchase, select the payment options that include “+ MLS Uniform” when registering. If you do not want the uniform, select “Registration Only.” Uniforms will be ordered one week before the session begins.   • *NEW* Elk River Area Middle School Track | Grades 7-8

    It's time to lace up and leave your mark! The 7th and 8th grade Track and Field team is back. Students from both Salk and Vandenberge middle school will get to represent their schools with pride as they compete with other schools around our area. Whether you are a seasoned runner or looking to try the sport for the first time, there is something for everyone in this comprehensive athletic experience. The schedule includes a minimum of 2 meets with transportation provided for away meets. Meets are weather-permitting and may or may not be rescheduled. Practices are Monday-Thursday, 3:30-5:00 pm, April 6th through May 14th. Practices will be at the Elk River High School Stadium and Vandenberge practice fields. All students must be picked up at the Elk River High School Stadium by 5:00 pm. Meets will be with other schools in our area. Dates will be announced as soon as information is available. Athletes will receive a uniform shirt but must provide their own shorts and shoes. Athletes should also bring their own water bottle for practice. Team t-shirt cost is included in the registration fee. Transportation is provided to and from meet sites for athletes. Athletes will need to arrange for transportation home from Elk River High School following the meets.

  • BMX Bike Racing for Beginners | age 3+

    Discover the thrill of BMX racing! Our fun and inclusive Intro to BMX is designed for new riders that can pedal a bike—no prior experience or USA BMX membership required. BMX racing is a great way for kids and adults alike to stay active, build confidence, develop life skills, and most importantly, have fun! In this hands-on course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of the sport, including, what BMX is, types of bikes, and safety. And yes—you’ll get on the track! Students will receive personalized riding instruction and get the chance to practice on our professionally maintained BMX course. No bike? No problem! We provide a fleet of HARO race bikes and full-face helmets in various sizes. Helmets are required. Come ready to ride, learn, and connect with others in a positive, high-energy environment. Let’s hit the track! Riders ready? Watch the gate. All you need to bring is: Long pants - Long sleeves - Closed-toe athletic shoes Check-in is 5:30-6:00pm. Class is held 6:00-7:45pm. Please note: The Community Ed BMX nights are intended as an intro experience for brand-new riders who want to try BMX and learn very basic fundamentals.     School’s out and there’s no better way to spend the day than on the slopes with Blizzard Ski & Snowboard School! Enjoy a full day of skiing or snowboarding at Afton Alps. Each trip fee includes a lift ticket, equipment rental (if needed), one-hour lesson (especially recommended for beginners!), and round-trip bus transportation.
