    Step into the boots of a real horse lover and enjoy a hands-on barn adventure! Campers will experience everyday life at the barn with daily riding, grooming, feeding, and caring for the horses—including bath time and learning how to braid manes and tails with ribbon. Each day brings time outdoors, new skills, and plenty of chances to make lasting friendships in a structured, positive, and welcoming environment. Riding time is about one hour per day in the arena (no trail rides), where campers will build confidence as they learn how to steer, stop, turn, and walk/trot independently. Campers are grouped with others who share a similar riding experience, so everyone feels comfortable and supported. What to Wear & Bring Long pants and closed-toed shoes (no flip-flops!)   • Battle Drones | grades 2-8

    Battle Drones features an exciting combination of aerial acrobatics with an engineering design challenge that will teach students STEM concepts, teamwork, and how to skillfully fly a drone. Teams of students will build robotic launchers designed to fling projectiles at their opponents’ drones. Students will be guided by experienced camp instructors in how to construct their launchers to maximize projectile speed and accuracy. The camp will culminate in an epic battle where students will need to pilot their drones to safety by dodging opponent projectiles while using their own launchers to take down opponent drones. The best drone pilots and launchers will emerge victorious! Learn from Twin Cities Chess Club instructors who have years of teaching experience. Competitive chess tournaments are scheduled once a year and students can play for real chess trophies!   • Cloud Game Development | grades 4-8

    Learn about the exciting process of cloud and mobile app development with this hands-on class. We will create our own Flappy Bird game! Students will use Constructs 3, a visual coding platform that teaches students the basics and structure of programming and game design. Computer skills are needed (this includes good keyboard and mouse skills). Home Technical Requirements: Computer: PC (Windows 10 or later) or Mac (OSX) with at least a 2GHz processor and 4GB of RAM Chromebooks, Tablets, and phones DO NOT Work.     Have you ever wanted a T-shirt with your very own design on it? Now’s your chance! Students will work to design their own custom T-shirt using digital graphic design tools. A professional screen printing company will turn the design into a real life T-shirt and ship it to your house! Experienced instructors will teach students how to run the software and guide them as they turn their visions into a reality!
  • Drone Racing | grades 2-8

    Students will learn how to fly like the pros in the Drone Racing League by training on a flight simulator. Once they learn the basics of flying, they’ll assemble their very own drone, which they can optionally purchase during the camp. After learning drone safety and maintenance, students will take their drone to the skies and compete in numerous races and challenges. Led by experienced instructors, students will leave camp with the skills and knowledge to pilot their drones and keep them running. The drones used in camps have cameras, and are perfect for entry level pilots.     Eureka Engineering introduces students to the core skills of robotics and STEM through engaging, hands-on learning opportunities. Student groups will work with Lego Mindstorm kits, which include both electrical and mechanical components. The small groups will be mentored by experienced and passionate instructors.     Learn what it's like to have a horse for a day! You'll get to ride in the indoor and/or outdoor arenas for 40-50 minutes (no trails), practice how to steer, stop, turn, and walk on your own. You might also make horse treats, create a craft project, or play games. Don't forget the time to feed and care for the horses, which is a big part of ownership! You'll be grouped with other campers based on similar riding experience. Proper attire includes close-toed shoes (no flip-flops!), long pants, and layers depending on weather. Bring sunscreen, a hat, bug spray, water bottle, a nut-free bag lunch, and snacks. You can also bring treats for the horses if you'd like. ASTM/SEI certified helmets provided. This fun, skill building class gives Junior Chefs the confidence to cook real food while discovering how rewarding (and tasty!) homemade pierogi can be. There may even be enough to take a few home to share with family! Perfect for youth who love food, creativity, and learning new kitchen skills. In this fun at home cook along, Junior Chefs will take the lead in creating a family favorite: Homemade Spaghettio’s with Mini Meatballs made completely from scratch. With guided, step-by-step instruction from Chef Tess, kids will roll and shape their own bite-sized meatballs, simmer a flavorful sauce, and bring it all together for a dish that’s even better than the classic canned version. Along the way, they’ll build real cooking skills, boost confidence, and discover how fun cooking from scratch can be! Adult supervision is required, but siblings are welcome to join the fun, making this a perfect family-friendly experience. Together, you’ll create a warm, tasty meal and lifelong kitchen memories. Participants will learn mixing, kneading, shaping, and cooking their own creations under the guidance of Chef Tess. With parent or guardian supervision (and siblings welcome to join in), families will enjoy a cozy, creative cooking experience together. Along the way, Junior Chefs will build confidence, learn real kitchen skills, and discover the joy of cooking from scratch. By the end of class, they’ll proudly serve up a heartfelt homemade meal that’s perfect for celebrating Mom, or anyone who deserves a little extra love.     Campers will enjoy a hands-on introduction to horses at Boulder Pointe! Participants will have the opportunity to ride a real horse in a safe, enclosed arena, meet several different horses, and learn basic grooming skills—all with a strong emphasis on safety. In addition to the equestrian activities, campers will complete a fun art project and make special horse treats to feed their new four-legged friends. Activities are organized into rotating stations to keep everyone engaged and excited. Parents are encouraged to walk alongside their child while they ride and are welcome to take photos during the experience. The class fee includes one parent/guardian and one child. Students will need to design machines that are faster, stronger, and smarter than the competition—and tough enough to outperform even store-bought RC cars and drones! Camp features land and air races, obstacle courses, challenges, and more as students learn real mechanical and electrical building skills in an energetic, action-packed environment.
