Survive the Wild! Outdoor Engineers | grades K-3

Youth | preK-grade 12 / Enrichment | Special Interest -
CE 2026 Summer

Do you have what it takes to survive in the wild? In this exciting camp, campers will work in teams to tackle creative STEM challenges and build clever gadgets designed to help them “survive” outdoors! From engineering a working periscope and harnessing the power of the sun to cook a tasty marshmallow treat (yum!), to designing a water-filtration device and building a shelter, every day is packed with hands-on innovation and problem-solving.

These engaging STEM projects take place primarily in the classroom, with opportunities for outdoor testing and experimentation. Campers will head home feeling confident, accomplished, and transformed by this unforgettable adventure!

Please remember to apply sunscreen to your child before camp.

Please pack a nut-free snack and a beverage for your child. Students registered for "Lunch Bunch" should bring a nut-free lunch and an additional beverage.

*** Registering for a morning and an afternoon class at the same location? Join the "Lunch Bunch!" Community Education will provide a supervised hour between classes for you to enjoy the lunch you brought from home, then will get you to your afternoon class. Lunches should be nut-free and should include a beverage. No resources are available for refrigeration or to heat lunches, so plan accordingly.

Parents/Guardians: Please answer "Yes" to the Lunch Bunch question when registering for the morning class. There is no charge, but we need to know who is staying with us for the hour. ***

Technological literacy is becoming as important as knowing how to read and write. TechTacToe presents high quality, kid-friendly classes that motivate and excite young minds about technology, computers and science. Classes and projects engage children in conceptualization and design, ultimately building life-skills such as problem solving, logic, and creativity. Programs are tailored to their abilities, using video game programming and other fun computer-based programs.
